Oh sweet Guster you melt my heart

Going to the show Satur....oh wait I guess that's today.  We'll be down in Indy for the second weekend in a row.  I'm growing to like such weekend trips. This coming week will be my spring break, a time for some renewal and much needed time to clear my head.  I might make a trip or two to see some friends.

just when I thought God hated Indiana

Last night I'm in the Lib. doing some late night research and I get a call from Andy.  He tells me that the norther lights are visible.  I walk outside and sure enough crazy light is in the sky.  I drive south to try and get away from the city light.  20 minutes later I'm standing outside of my parked car in sub-zero termperatures looking at a cascade of white  and green light draped across the sky.  It looked like pillars of light were surrounding the city...I was reminded of how small we are...and that the heaven's do declare the Glory of God.  The interesting thing is, in the city you can't see them, you have to get away from the lights and go out into country...if you're in the business you will miss the beauty, if you're in the quiet you will bare witness to something beyond words.  Last night there were two kinds of people those who saw and those who did not.

black on pieces of white

at the advice of a well known spiritual leader and teacher I went to a bookstore and purchased a hard backed journal that fits nicely into my coat pocket.  I find myself grabbing for it throughout the day and writing all sort of things in it.  as i look at it now i read a statistic: 1 out of every 10 kids brought up in church will actually stay in church.  then there's some stuff about the idea of "God's House"...I'm working with that one..Acts 6 interesting stuff, never actually read much of it on my own.  yesterday was interesting...Dr. Bellville shared with us why she left her previous job..stuff about hate letters and signs posted on her office door...i was amazed and hurt and angered.  I'm not sure what evangelical means anymore.

our house church is seeing God do some amazing things and I can only hope and pray that we are obedient to where God is leading us.  I have no intention of standing in the way of a very mysterious journey

Isn't She Beautiful?  And the answers is yes..Oh God yes.  But what now...anticipation, change, hope, redemptive change-the kind we can only dream of.  Best three days I've had in a long time...
